ANTHONY LAID LE

Instructor -  Junior/Teen Break Dancing (Ages 9-17)

Anthony started dancing when he was 13 years old. A native of Montgomeryville, PA, Anthony grew up in a suburban area where he wasn’t really exposed to hip-hop or street dancing. In middle school he saw a dance circle happening outside during lunch hours. Ever since then, he started to pursue bboying/breaking & never stopped dancing.

Throughout middle school, high school, & college he started competing in competitions, performed for talent shows & a variety of events. Anthony’s main strength in dancing is his passion & competitiveness. He was known for being an explosive & high energy dancer. While Anthony was attending Penn State Abington in 2014, he joined the University’s Dance Company, where he learned contemporary & hip-hop dancing. With this knowledge, he learned to combine breakdancing, hiphop, & contemporary to come up with his own unique style. He was in the Dance Company for 5 years working with other very talented dancers until he graduated in 2019 with a Bachelors of Science in Information Sciences, & Technology.

After graduation, Anthony helped substitute as a dance instructor for bboying/breakdancing at Freestyle Dance Academy located in Chalfont, PA. He has worked with many young dancers & helped them find their own movement. With this experience, he realized that he wants to keep teaching & encouraging his students & other dancers to work hard. As a teacher, he hopes to share his experiences as a dancer from the perspective of both a teacher & a student. He wants students to enjoy dancing the same way he has & utilizing dance as a creative outlet, self-expression, & means of gaining confidence.
