Dance for Down Syndrome

 

Dance for Down Syndrome is a fundraising campaign that was established by our director, Darlin, and his wife, Bleigh.  Together, they have decided to raise awareness for Down Syndrome in honor of their second son, Tristan. Tristan was born on September 7, 2013, and was diagnosed with Trisomy 21(Down Syndrome) and an Atrial Septal Defect (ASD) in his heart.   

 

Art In Motion Dance Academy has joined together with the Garcias to host this annual campaign in effort to raise awareness and funds for children with Down Syndrome.  This year the event is held on June 27th, 2015, and will consist of door prizes, food, special dance performances, a presentation by the Garcia family, and social dancing.  All donations from this campaign benefit the National Down Syndrome Society and Tristan.  A portion of the proceeds are sent directly to the National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS.org).  The remainder of the proceeds will help support Tristan's medical, nutritional and developmental needs.  We hope you will join us in this campaign, and be a part of a cause that is special to our hearts!
